China accuses Donald Trump for shifting COVID-19 blame to china

China has accused US President Donald Trump today of trying to shift the blame for the global Covid-19 epidemic into an escalating conflict between the two nations.

Trump claimed yesterday Thursday that the world is paying too much for China's lack of transparency about the eruption in the central city of Wuhan late last year.

China has been criticized for blocking information and punishing informants in the early stages of the explosion.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said some people on the US side were trying to stigmatize China's fight against the epidemic and shift the blame to the nation.

He said the strategy undermines China's massive commitment to protecting human health and safety and undermines China's significant contribution to global public health.
